“Psalidi” in ENFIA – Big “Breath” for settlements and villages under 1,500 inhabitants

A million property owners benefit from the reduction of ENFIA in areas with up to 1,500 inhabitants.

The benefit will be reflected in the following ENFIA clearances, which will be sent next March, according to Ertnews.

In the Grand Siren, a mountain village of Grevena, built at an altitude of 667 meters, the last census recorded 331 inhabitants, so the key is the population stimulation.

The villages of Grevena, such as the big siren, are emptying day by day. Young people are hard to return to their place as they do not find jobs, while those who remain want higher motivation to endure.

For 12,719 settlements with a population of up to 1,500 inhabitants, ENFIA will be reduced by 50% in 2026 and will be reset in 2027, in all properties used as main residences. The benefit will be seen in the clearance of next March.

“The reduction of ENFIA by 50% in settlements below 1,500 inhabitants will appear in the ENFIA clearance of 2026.

For a twenty -year house with a 120 -square -foot area in a settlement price of 800 euros, the ENFIA of 264 euros in 2025 will be 132 euros in 2026, to zero in 2027.

The greater the value of the property, the greater the benefit. For 100 square meters in an area at a zone price of 2000 euros, ENFIA will be reset 311 euros over two years. However, there will be measures to avoid circumvention.

“Homes will be excluded that have a fair value of over 400,000 euros,” Ms Velissarakou said.

The abolition of ENFIA in the Region relates to 1,000,000 home rights and the cumulative benefit for owners will amount to 75m euros with the full implementation of the measure.
