Recep Tayyip Erdogan on July 10, 2020 signed a Presidential Decreewith which decides to turn Hagia Sophia into a mosque.
After serving as a church for 916 years, Hagia Sophia turned into a mosque after the fall of Constantinople on May 29, 1453. In 1934, Hagia Sophia turned into a museum. After 86 years, the Turkish president “liberated” the Holy Temple, as he provocatively states.

In today’s post, for the 5 years since the conversion, Erdogan writes: “As today, five years ago, we broke the chains and reunited Hagia Sophia with the call for the prayer of the Muslim, and let it remain free forever …”.
