THE prince william visited her Rio de Janeiro Brazil on an environment-focused visit, but he didn’t miss an opportunity to be at one of the world’s most famous beaches, Copacabana, where he played a friendly match of beach volleyball.
Despite being in Brazil to focus on environmental protection and the vital work of lifeguards, Prince William found time to try out a classic Brazilian beach sport: beach volleyball.
The Prince of Wales took the ball and caught up with children from underprivileged communities in the area. The children came from the Levante Institute, a school run by Olympic champion Carolina Solberg that aims to transform their lives through sport.

He struggled for about 10 minutes, after first jokingly begging the children: “Hey guys, be nice,” he said, according to reports.
He showed off his skills by dribbling, slotting and diving into the sand to ‘save’ the ball.
Carolina Solberg told People that she had a lot of energy and could become a great volleyball player. “He’s tall. It can hit, it can,” he said. “I think he could be really good if he practiced more.”

The Olympian also added that he was fantastic with the children: “He is so kind and showed kindness to everyone.” She was thrilled that William emphasized her social work: “It’s incredible. I never expected to receive this invitation and it was a great honor and pleasure, and it was also fun to watch him play my sport, beach volleyball.”
