However, the monarch has never hidden that he prefers his residence in Clarence House, London, where he has been living since 2003.
Buckingham Palace is one of the numerous real estate used by the royal family.
The houses preferred by the deceased Queen Elizabeth were the castle of Windsor and the Castle Balmoral in Scotland, where it went every summer.
