THE Prince William and the Kate Middleton They met on Tuesday (23.09.2025) parents of the victims of the Southport attack. Three girls, aged 9, 7 and 6, had been murdered during a summer workshop related to an event dedicated to Taylor Swift. The tragedy had shocked the country and had triggered days of turmoil.
In a post on the X platform, Prince William and Kate Middleton wrote: “Returning to Southport today to see a community that is united and rebuilt after the tragic event last summer.”
During the visit, William and Kate – parents and three children themselves – visited a playground created in memory of two of the victims. They also talked to teachers and students about how local community treats mourning and pain.

The attack had caused ten serious children’s injuries. Soon, unfounded rumors circulated on social media incorrectly accused a Muslim asylum seeker, intensifying tension. Violent clashes between protesters and police followed, while attempting to attack the local mosque. The riots were then expanded across the country.
