Positive rebound for ‘climate’ to US consumers

Unexpected evolution of the feeling of consumer to USA recorded in June.

According to a study by the University of Michigan, US consumers in early June were significantly less pessimistic about the economy and possible increases in inflation, as it appeared that there was progress in the World Trade War.

University research on consumers showed a general recovery from previous negative results, while respondents also significantly reduced their inflation forecasts in the near future.

The consumer confidence index stood at 60.5, well above the Dow Jones estimate for 54 and 15.9% higher than the previous month. The ratio of current circumstances rose 8.1%, while the future expectations increased by 21.9%.

These moves coincided with the retreat of the intense rhetoric surrounding President Donald Trump’s duties. Following the announcement of the “Liberation Day” on April 2, Trump reduced the threats and introduced a 90 -day negotiation period that seems to make progress, especially with the leading commercial competitor, China.
