Porto Rafti: Plasters fell in a primary school – Two students were injured (Video)

Questions are being raised about the safety of school buildings after a large one fell piece of plasterincident from which two 9-year-old students were injured in Porto Rafti.

The chronicle

In the 1st primary school in Porto Rafti, Wednesday afternoon just before 2, full-day school lessons are held.

Suddenly, a piece of the ceiling, about 1.5 square meters, came off and fell on the children sitting at the back and side desks.

They were slightly injured by this detachment a little girland a 9-year-old boy. the girl carries abrasions on the nosewhile the boy has injuries to back.

It has been about 2 years since the association of parents and guardians, but also the teaching staff and the teachers’ association have sent letters to the Primary School that the building is dangerous for the children while 8 days ago the Anti-Seismic Planning and Protection Organization had gone to the school to do an inspection.

The control was at primary level and they were looking to see if there are any visible cracks. They were verbally seen that everything is fine and the children continued to attend said school and do their homework.

Today the school is closed to repair the damage, and an additional check is being carried out by the OASP.
