Pope Francis went to the Royal Church of Rome and prayed in front of the image of Our Lady

It is getting better as time goes on his health status Pope Francisafter a long time of hospitalization.

As announced by the Vatican, Pope Francis this afternoon (13.04.2025) went to the Royal Church of Rome “St. Maria the Great” and prayed in front of the Byzantine icon “Popouli Romani”.

This is the church in which Francis has asked to be buried.

On his way out of Agostino Zemeli Hospital in Rome, three weeks ago, before returning to the Vatican he wanted to pass from the temple dedicated to the Virgo and to leave a bouquet, asking to be placed under his particular image.

According to reports so far, the Argentine Pope is not going to dance tomorrow on Sunday’s Saint Peter.

Some commentators, however, say that it is not excluded that it is surprised and eventually greeting the faithful.

Finally, it is expected that it is known whether the Pope will take part in the Catholic Week ceremonies. The final decision will of course be made depending on the state of his health and the whole course of his recovery.
