Pierrakakis meeting with the bureau of POMIDA

Meeting today (11.9.2025) the Ministry Kyriakos Pierrakakis with Deputy Minister Thanos Petralia and Giorgos Kotsira and the Bureau of the Pan -Hellenic Federation of Real Estate Owners (Pomida).

The political leadership of the Ministry of Finance presented to POMIDA’s representatives the new package of measures concerning property owners.

Among them are:

  • Establishment of 25%tax rate.
  • Extension of income tax reduction for building upgrades by 2026.
  • Exemption from income tax for three years in vacant houses that will be leased long, if rented by the end of 2026.
  • Extension by the end of 2026 of VAT suspension in new buildings.
  • Maintaining the restriction of new short -term leases in 2026 in the three municipal districts in Athens.
  • Abolition of ENFIA in settlements of up to 1,500 inhabitants: 50% reduction in 2026 and complete exemption from 2027 (about 1 million rights in 12,720 settlements).

During the debate, which lasted about one and a half hours, the need to increase the number of houses available for long -term lease was raised. POMIDA’s representatives have made their proposals, which the Ministry of National Economy and Finance is considering, as the strengthening of housing supply is an absolute priority for the government.

POMIDA was represented by Stratos Paradia Federation President, Vice Presidents Charalambos Tsourellis, Dionysis Chionis and Nancy Papalexandri, Vice President Kranidis.

The two sides agreed to repeat their meeting soon.
