Pierrakakis for the CoE’s decision: This historical decision takes a big step in progress and confidence

As “a justification for our will to tear down walls, to break rooted taboos, to overcome obsessions and to give more choices and opportunities to students who want to study in our country,” the Minister of National Economy and Finance described Kyriakos Pierrakakis his decision Council of State which considers Law 5094/24 constitutional for the installation and operation of non -profit universities in the country.

In his statement, the Minister also said:

“The Supreme Administrative Court, in its ruling, certifies that the government has operated with respect to the institutions. Those who used the Constitution as a pretext to change nothing in the country are now invited to explain to citizens the stillness of the years that they have deprived Greece of in their families and resulted in huge losses in our country’s development activity.

Greece has finally stopped being an exception to a global educational rule. The coexistence of the Public University with non -profit universities enhances academic competitiveness, the attraction of investment for research, innovation and international cooperation.
