Greece will repay the loans of the first memorandumearlier than 2041, the Minister of Finance said today (23.4.2025), Kyriakos Pierrakakisin Ertnews, pointing out that by reducing debt, primary surpluses reach society.
On the day of Greece’s 15th anniversary of the Memorandums, Kyriakos Pierrakakis said that “after a lost decade of three non -municipalities, we are in the middle of a winner”. “We do not like self -sufficient terms in the economy, when people find it difficult and the route was covered with many difficulties by the Greek people, but the events speak for themselves,” he added, referring to the surplus and the measures announced yesterday.
Mr Pierrakakis told Ertnews, “IMF loans have been repaid three years ago. We have to repay the loans of the first memorandum and we want to do it ten years earlier. Welcome to things, we are not talking about a script, but about reality. The most meaningful thing is to be able to do this to put weight on it. By reducing debt, the primary surpluses we create reach faster and better in society. “
