THE Franzi Piero after her qualification Haiti in the final phase of the World Cup he broke out via Instagram about the situation in the country. The AEK player asks for peace in his homeland.
Haiti qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 52 years and Piero wanted to give another dimension and refer to more important issues, such as the prevalence of peace in his homeland.
“We are tired. Now we must come together as one nation. We always say we are the first black country to become independent, but our own people are not even free to walk in their own country. We deserve peace. Haiti needs peace”said the AEK forward on Instagram.
Piero refers to the war of gangs in the country, with the situation having taken on political dimensions, as the violence of the gangs brought the resignation of the Prime Minister of Haiti. In 2024 and after imposing a curfew, Ariel Henry resigned and since then the situation in the country has not improved.
