Important questions arise about Death of an infant of 2.5 months oldas there are suspicions for insufficient or incomplete necropsy-necrotomy by Patras Forensic.
Investigations conducted by the Directorate -General for Forensic Office of the Ministry of Justice are continuing intensively. They focus on deaths recorded since January 1, 2020 and bearing the “normal causes”, with the relevant forensic reports issued by its service Patras.
This research began after revelations about the pediatricians in Amaliada, which led to the temporary suspension of the Patras Forensic Service. This service had issued forensic findings for both two of the infants whose assassinations were confessed by Irene Mourtzoukou and for the children of Roula Pispirigou.
According to Ioanna Mandrou, head of Mega’s court report, the investigation began with the examination of dossiers involving children’s deaths, to which forensic reports attributed death to pathological causes. When the competent departments of the Ministry of Justice came into contact with the file of this infant, as the journalist typically conveyed, he “raised his hands high”.
The incident
The incident took place on December 30, 2013, when the EKAB received a 2.5 -month -old infant from his home due to respiratory problems. The child was initially transferred to the Ioannina Hospital, where he was intubated, and then admitted to the Rio Hospital.
During medical examination, doctors found indications referring to possible abuse. They began actions, demanding the assistance of the Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the causes of infant injury.
However, although the infant passed away eight days after his hospitalization, the forensic report said death came from pathological causes.
The findings not recorded by the forensic examiner
As Live News reveals, the forensic examination performed in 2013 had ignored or did not record findings that are considered particularly alarming:
First exam:
- Bumps to the buttocks
- Bruises on the right part of the front
- Out on the nose (left)
Sinking:
- Bleeding in the retina
- Picture referring to shaking
Magnetic tomography of brain:
- Subcutaneous hematomas in many places
- Subarachnoid bleeding
- Chapters on the back and sides of the skull, bilaterally
Chest x -ray:
- Older fractures on the sides
Forensic Advisory:
- The coroner’s finding referred to as the cause of death: the death of the infant was a consequence of viral meningoencephalitis.
