The scene of a strong political controversy unfolded in the House of Representatives, starring Takis Theodorikakos, and the President of Freedom Freedom, Zoe Konstantopoulou. The occasion was given in the wake of the filing of the New Democracy proposal concerning former Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis, leading to an acute exchanging “fire”.
The confrontation was triggered when Mr. Theodorikakos addressed Mrs. Constantopoulou with the phrase “My Lady”. The president of the Freedom Cruise immediately reacted, stating: “I am not your lady”, and criticized the minister both for how to speak and the content of his words. “Yesterday you did moral decline lessons,” he said characteristically, adding that it was not appropriate to address a political leader in such a style, commenting that “love for power is being processed by art”.
For his part, Takis Theodorikakos responded with herself, attributing to Mrs. Constantopoulou “irony, populism, lies, provocative demagogy and cynical exploitation of a national tragedy” as the main characteristics of the political journey. At the same time, the Minister of Development expressed his dissatisfaction with the stance of the bureau, arguing that any Member of Parliament, regardless of gender, who is expressed by the step of the step for his colleague, should be subject to a strict observation.
At this point, the Vice President of the House, Odysseas Constantinopoulos from PASOK, intervened, who defended Ms Konstantopoulou, noting that she was a party president and not a mere MP. He also reminded Mr Theodorikakos that he had significantly exceeded his speech time (33 minutes instead of 18). Mr Constantinopoulos emphasized the need to adhere to a potentially new, stricter House regulation than all.
Zoe Konstantopoulou, returning, described ND’s proposal for Kostas Karamanlis as a “downfall” and, addressing the government’s benches, said: “Nagaras will not be unleashed, you will not restore the citizens with what you do.” In addition, he accused the government of “hugging the slaughter of children in Gaza”.
