Parliament: Meeting of Kaklamani with the new leadership of PADEE – Strengthening the bonds of expatriate Hellenism

The Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, welcomed the newly elected Board (PADEE), emphasizing the crucial role of the Union in maintaining and empowering Greece’s relations with ubiquitous Hellenism.

At the meeting, held during the official visit of the new Board of Directors to Parliament, Mr. Kaklamanis congratulated the members for their election. Emphasized the operation of PADEE as ‘Bridge’ of parliamentary diplomacylinking Greece with Members of Parliament and State officials of Greek descent from nine (9) parliaments worldwide.

Cooperation and promotion of national issues

During the debate, there was a fruitful exchange of views to strengthen the cooperation between PADE. and the Greek Parliament. Also discussed the prospects of joint actions on issues related to expatriate Hellenism, preservation of cultural heritage and View Greek national issues internationally.

The Speaker of the House emphasized the need to support her Young generation of Greeks of the diasporaso that the Greek identity and the connection to the ancestral roots remain alive.
