Overall, the contracts signed by Nikos Papathanassis involves 88 bodies – 47 from Greece and 41 from Cyprus and with the completion of the process, a comprehensive set of cross -border actions is set in full orbit, with a time -consuming period of the next two years and aiming to enhance its social and reinforcement.
Acts are implemented in Crete, North and South Aegean and Cyprus, pursuing a joint challenge and focus on four specific goals:
- Energy efficiency and green energy, with interventions that reduce the energy footprint of public infrastructure, utilizing high performance technologies and smart energy management systems.
- Climate resilience and management of natural disasters, through enhancing the equipment, readiness and operational capabilities of Civil Protection and Civil Defense.
- Protection of nature and biodiversity, with the development of digital monitoring, imprinting and environmental data analysis.
- Accessibility, culture and social integration, with interventions that enhance access to cultural and physical spaces for people with disabilities and reduced mobility, while highlighting the role of culture and sustainable tourism as levers of economic development, social integration and social innovation.
