Papastergiou: “Personal number will end the suffering of citizens”

The Minister of Digital Governance was placed in Parliament for the category of personal data breach

“The personal number is purely an IT issue in order to be able to unite and clarify the state registers in order to solve a 60 -year problem and in order to stop the state from suffering citizens,” Digital Digital Minister Dimitris Papastergiou said in a question.

Spyros Tsironis, MP of Niki, complained that all the personal data of the citizens would now be in light. “You are sacrificing safety for ease,” the MP said, stressing that the personal number is, since his arrest, dangerous and is an abuse of power. “The personal number was the need to unite the four different registries of the Greek State. If we were building a digital Greece from scratch from scratch today, we would not have four registers, we would not have four sectoral numbers, we would only have one. It didn’t happen. For several years, there has been a need for these four registries somehow to unite and we all stop suffering from the suffering of Greek citizens, “the Minister of Digital Government said, and noted that the choice of personal number had twice passed by the Protection Authority.

Mr Papastergiou said that “the personal number does not come to permanently abolish the sectoral numbers but is coming to be the only number to interfere with the Greek State.” The four sectoral numbers will continue to exist in the adolescents of organizations and bodies, but the citizen will need to remember only one number, the Minister of Digital Governance said. Mr Tsironis expressed the belief that the government is not concerned with ease of citizens’ transactions, but wants to manage people’s data in order to impose policies and manipulate them through the applications of artificial intelligence.

“Mr. Tsironis, I guess you have a smartphone. I don’t want to scare you, nor your followers, but the smartphone runs artificial intelligence algorithms. I saw you have an account on fb. You know that fb has artificial intelligence algorithms. I don’t want to scare you. So your fairy tale is nice, but it has no dragon. Artificial intelligence is a technology, as a technology was once the internet, another technology was personal computers. So, in your audience all this sounds good, but tell them that artificial intelligence is something that is in your life and you use it, “the Minister of Digital Governance commented.
