George Yakoumakis was born on December 9, 1994 in Heraklion, Crete. He began his football career in his birthplace team, the RFO, before taking a professional step with Platanias in 2012.
He played with Platanias for four seasons, scoring a total of 67 appearances, 15 goals and five assists in all competitions.
In the summer of 2017, he was acquired by AEK, with whose jersey recorded 48 appearances, scored three goals and distributed two assists.
