By completing the exams of general education and orientation courses in Nationwide Examinations, GEL candidates are waiting for the announcements of the ratings, which is estimated to take place in late June. Along with the scores, additional statistics are expected to be made known, which will allow this year’s admission bases to be highly accurately.
In particular, the number of candidates participating in the Panhellenic, and their division of scientific fields are two main pieces missing from the puzzle.
“The general feeling we have is that for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd scientific field, there are no special fluctuations in the average performance of the candidates, which are also setting the limit of the minimum entry base,” George Hatzithegas and Educator said in RES-EIA.
The reason, as he explained, is that in general the candidates are confronted with “repetitive themes, similar difficulty”.
More specifically, Mr Hatzitegas’ estimate of the 1st scientific field of humanitarian studies is that “the average performance of the candidates will not present a particular variation, so the EBE limit”, which means that the bases of the introduction will not be in the field.
Concerning the 2nd and 3rd scientific fields of Positive Studies and Studies, respectively, Mr. Hatzitgeas observed that “there are higher performance in average, while candidates have to deal with the most difficult courses (Mathematics, Biology, Biology, Biology).
He stressed that these two fields are also observed “the greatest injustices” because of the application of the EBE, as, as he pointed out, “a student who writes in lessons 10 in 20, is very likely to be left out of AEI, but his score does not mean that he was not in a position or that he was not in a position or that he was not in a position.” At the same time, he noted that vacancies are observed in departments of even central universities.
In terms of the 4th Scientific Field, Economics and Informatics Studies, performance seems to be better than the previous year. “The best performance that appears, along with the increase in the number of children competing in the field, show that it is possible to rise the bases in the 4th field sections.
In addition, Mr Chatzitgeas estimated that about 1/3 of GEL candidates and 55% of EPAL candidates would be left out of HEIs due to the implementation of the minimum entry base.
