Argentina’s football, Estudianz, the Panathinaikos And all the friends of the sport around the world mourn from Tuesday night (27.05.2025) the loss of legendary Juan Ramon Veronwho “passed away” at the age of 81.
Juan Ramon Veron, one of the most important footballers of all time for Argentina – and the father of Juan Sebastian Veron who played (among others) and in Manchester United – celebrated the Greek stadiums in the 1970s.
He competed with the “clover” from 1972 to 1974, scoring 23 goals in 57 league appearances and enchanted the Greek sports public, along with Mimis Domazo and Antonis Antoniadis.

“Goodbye to Juan Ramon Veron, a great footballer who honored the Panathinaikos jersey and left his indelible imprint on Greek football. Hasta Siempre, La Bruja,” the Greens said in a post.
