Large cuts have been applied in the last few days in production of domestic renewable energy units (RES), as it has been significantly enhanced by high winds.
Indicatively, more than 8.7 giants were cut on Monday, as the offer far exceeded production at lunchtime. The extra quantities were unable to find a way out in exports, so that the intervention of the managers who asked the producers to discontinue the operation of RES units.
For today, Tuesday (12.8.2025), ADMIE expects a demand of up to 8,350 MW at 1 noon, with the production of RES at 10,710 MW at the same time. Thus, it is easily understood by the over -supply that, among other things, pushing the wholesale values.
The average wholesale price in August is only 71 euros per megawatt, that is, quite low for the season.
