Over 1,000 Greeks abroad in the action of extroversion of the Ministry of Labor and DBA in Stuttgart

With dynamic participation, the fourth in a row event was completed by an extroversion event organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the DEPAin collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, yesterday (31.5.2025) in Stuttgart.

The purpose of these actions is to highlight professional opportunities in the Greek labor market to attract Greeks who have left abroad, especially during the years of the financial crisis according to the announcement. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security in collaboration with the DBA, through these events, is the “bridge”, bringing in contact with Greek professionals who live and work abroad, with businesses operating in Greece and are looking for specialized executives for key positions.

In the action in Stuttgart, 34 leaders of businesses operating in the country participated, offering more than 1,000 jobs in a wide range of professional fields, such as engineers, health professionals, economists, computer, sales and marketing executives, production and management executives.

The event was attended by more than 1,000 stakeholders from Germany but even from neighboring countries such as France, Luxembourg and Switzerland, showing how attractive and competitive the Greek labor market has now become.

Participants conducted interviews through live interviews, were informed of the professional prospects in the Greek labor market, and is now their judgment to return to our homeland. It is worth noting that similar events have taken place in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, and London last year with the participation of more than 4,000 expatriate Greeks.

During her speech, the Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameos presented to attendees the improved elements presented by the labor market in our country, noting that for the first time in the last 17 years unemployment in April declined to 8.3%.

The event was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Loverdos and Public Employment Commander Spyros Protopsaltis.

The response of the world gives us great joy and power to continue the effort to return to our country the “brilliant minds” who left abroad, especially during the crisis. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the DBA, with the valuable cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is giving the coupling of important businesses active in Greece and seeking human resources and our compatriots who live abroad and are interested in returning to our country. We highlight the choices they have, but the final decision is theirs. “
