Lefteris Avgenakis, a former Minister of Rural Development, accuses opposition parties – PASOK on the one hand and SYRIZA with the new left on the other – of “attempting to exploit” of his case OPECEPE. The reason was their proposals for the establishment of a pre -trial committee.
He believes that the “need for a small party exploitation of the OPEKEPE issue prevents them from recognizing that I have not committed no duties in the performance of my duties.”
Particular reference is made to former OPEKEPE President Evangelos Simandrakos, who, according to Avgenakis, claims “the pressure on the release of 6,000” committed “VAT” while the actual number was in 16.560 VAT.
Mr. Avgenakis emphasizes that these VAT IDs “are not mere numbers but farmers, farmers with families who, after being checked (as the OPECEPE administration, should not remain hostage, to be paid if they are legally entitled to be entitled to justice”.
In this context, the former minister states that the New Democracy rightly suggests recommending Inquiry Committee To investigate all aspects of the issue From 1998 until todayin order to seek the truth and the resolution of the body.
Finally, Lefteris Avgenakis reserves a detailed “sufficient evidence and facts during the debate in the plenary of the House”.
