The trial for this case was determined for the 24 November 2024 All four defendants are to be tried on the offenses of violating service privacy and the infringement of the personal data law.
It is recalled that this case had also been put under its “microscope” Personal Data Protection Authority, which, by its decision, had imposed fines of € 40,000 to 400,000 euros on the New Democracy, the Ministry of the Interior, Mrs Asimakopoulou and other persons. The Council of State, however, with unanimous decisions annulled the fine imposed on the New Democracy and ratified the fines imposed on the former Organizing Secretary of Self -Government and Crisis Management of the ND Aristodemus (Menio) Koromilas and the then Secretary of the Diapheus.
The case was determined for November following a criminal investigation at the end of July, which was carried out by the Athens Public Prosecutor’s Office. Dozens of proceedings have been filed and discussed and discussed at the Athens Court of First Instance.
