THE Olympic he had no problem “cleaning” her Zalgiris Kaunas in the SEF (95-78), before going to the headquarters of Armani Milan, to complete his “devil’s week” in the Euroleague. Dorsey and Milutinov are the leaders of Barzoka’s team, which did not let the “shock” of Keenan Evans’ injury affect it.
Very easy win for Olympiakos, who played great basketball on the night of another serious injury to Keenan Evans. The Piraeus thus improved their record (7-3), catching Zalgiris Kaunas in the 2nd place of the Euroleague standings.
Tyler Dorsey (30 points) and Nikola Milutinov (16 points, 8 rebounds) had a terrific night, with Thomas Walkup (9 points, 4 assists) again doing a stellar job on both ends of the floor and with his defense on Francisco.
The match…
The two teams had a nervous start to the match, with Olympiakos getting 12 points from Dorsey in the first five minutes, Zalgiris having Ulanovas as their protagonist (4 points) but… chasing the score (14-9). The Piraeus team continued their … walk against the misguided Lithuanians, with Milutinov taking over the scoring (he added 7 points). Shortly before the end of the first quarter, SEF stood up for the return of Keenan Evans to a Euroleague match after April 11, 2024. The guests “stuck” for several minutes at 9 points and reached 14, with the Piraeus reaching 28 in the first period (28-14).

The departure of Keenan Evans “froze” SEF and the “red and whites”. But Sasha Vezenkov was there to “pull” them into scoring. However, Zalgiris Kaunas showed that they were finding some rhythm and with Francisco in front, they made a 1-0 run and reduced the score to 37-27. Dorsey’s three-pointer cut off the visitors’ streak, so that baskets from Vezenkov and Lee would come and increase the difference again (45-29). With the Lithuanians being more competitive, Olympiacos was forced to find more offensive solutions and kept the difference high, going to the locker room with +14 (50-36).
Olympiacos kept a good offensive pace in the third quarter, quickly increasing the difference to over 20 points (61-38). Milutinov, Dorsey and Walkup were “connected” to the opposing basket, while Moses Wright was the only one who stood out from Zalgiris. Bartzoka’s team did well in both rackets and reached 74-53 in the season.
With the match decided and Dorsey scoring whenever needed, Olympiacos reached the final 95-78 and will go to Milan in two 24 hours to make it 2/2 in the “devil’s week” against Armani.
