Olympiacos, PAOK and Panathinaikos continue unbeaten in Europa and Conference League

THE PAOK took the win of the night with a 5-0 win over Ferencvaros for the 6th matchday of the League Phase of the Europa League, but also Olympic with a 0-0 draw against Twente in the same competition, as well as Panathinaikos after a 2-0 double against New Saints in the Conference League, they continue to have reasonable hopes of qualifying for the next phase.

In the Europa League, PAOK was “stormy” in Toumba against Ferentsvaros and broke out for the consecutive negative results at home, making a “jump” in the League Phase standings.

The Thessalonians have now found themselves in a strong position in the “battle” for the first 24 of the competition, which leads to the playoffs, before the “16” phase.

Two games before the finale of the first phase thus, Razvan Lucescu’s team can have their “eyes” on 2025, since they just need to maintain their position to continue their European course and the new season.

Olympiacos is preparing for the knockouts

Olympiacos is even closer to the playoffs, but lost against Twente, the opportunity to claim direct qualification through the top 8 of the Europa League standings.

The Piraeus team drew 0-0 with the Dutch in “Karaiskakis” and now they need… a miracle to be one of the first 8 teams of the Europa League. Even from the 15th place in the standings, however, they are a “breath” away from the playoffs and they can fight in the knockout games to be in the “16” of the Europa League and claim their second consecutive title in Europe.

Panathinaikos of Vitoria is “alive”.

Panathinaikos, on the other hand, had the easiest task against the weak New Saints from Wales and although they again showed their well-known problems in goal, they had no trouble getting the victory with 2-0 and making it 2/2 in the Conference League, after the first victory over Helsinki the previous matchday.

Having had a tragic start to the season with Diego Alonso, Panathinaikos needed an… electric shock with the change of coach, but they are visibly improved with Rui Vitoria and now it seems unlikely that they will not continue in Europe in the new year.

The “greens” will now face Dinamo Minsk in the OAKA with the goal of even one point, to be in the playoffs of the Conference League and claim qualification to the “16” of the competition.
