Her concern about the impact of hostilities on Middle East in Greek tourismThe responsible Minister, Olga Kefalogiannis, expressed today (16.6.2025) in an interview with SKAI.
Specifically, Ms Kefalogiannis stressed that our country is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East but explained that it is too early to know if there will be an impact on tourism. “For the last 15 years we have managed several geopolitical crises and Greek tourism has been tested and has proven to be durable and competitive,” he said.
Answering a question about whether tourist traffic is reduced by the countries of the Middle East, especially Israel, in Greece, the country’s tourism will be affected, the minister replied: “We will see immediate implications, but there are no reservation cancellations so far.”
