The shares of the Danish pharmaceutical industry rose up to 2.3% today (13/06/2025), after Novo announced that it plans to promote the Amycretin weight management therapy at an advanced stage of development according to Bloomberg.
The capitalization of the Novo pharmaceutical industry stood at $ 365 billion in Copenhagen. This is compared to $ 364.3 billion for SAP, according to data collected by Bloomberg.
Novo has undergone a series of failures since it has reached a high level of record last year, including the frustrating results of clinical trials for experimental obesity and increasing competition by US opponent Eli Lilly & Co. The pharmaceutical industry decided last month to replace Managing Director Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen.
The shares have been reinforced this week following a Financial Times publication on the Hedge Fund Parvus Asset Management activist that builds a share on Novo, hoping to influence the appointment of the new CEO of the pharmaceutical industry.
