Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic may move to Greece in September this year.
This comes after he is seeking residency in the Hellenic Republic through the Golden Visa Program, which offers the right to live in the country to wealthy international individuals in exchange for economic contributions made through financial investments, Schengen.News reports.
According to a report from Proto Thema, Djokovic will move to his new home in Greece’s capital together with her wife Jelena, their son Stefan, and their daughter Tara.
Recently, Djokovic met with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, adding to speculations regarding his plans to move to Greece.
Admiration for Greece Since 2009
Djokovic’s admiration for the Hellenic Republic recently led the tennis player to obtain residency. It all started in 2009 during an Australian Open match against Cypriot player Marcos Baghdatis.
