The people inside the imposing church warmly welcomed the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, as soon as he entered the Notre-Dame de Paris on Saturday night (07.12.2024), in the presence of dozens of heads of state, government and personalities.
The guests stood and applauded the Ukrainian president as he entered the church.
The Ukrainian head of state held talks earlier today with US President-elect Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Trump shook hands with Britain’s Prince William and heads of state and government as he made his way to the front of the cathedral. He sat next to Macron in the front row.

Billionaire Tesla owner Elon Musk, a close adviser to President-elect Trump’s administration transition staff, also attended the ceremony, as did Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and former French presidents Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy.
