At least six seaside houses in North Carolina collapsed on Tuesday 30.09.2025, when the sea came out and were lost in the ocean, as hurricanes Haberto and Imelda crossed the east coast.
Five of the houses built on piles collapsed on Tuesday in Baxton, the easternmost point of vulnerable outer islands, and a sixth house collapsed during the night.

Video that captures the scary scene, making the internet tour. It seems that one of the houses shakes over his piles, above the stormy and inflated sea, before the construction of the construction begins to fall and eventually the house sink into the waves.
Fortunately, no one was injured, as all the houses were licensed at the time of the disaster, according to the directions by the National Park Service.
