This was stressed by the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, who participated today, Thursday, April 3, in the informal Council of Foreign Affairs and Defense of the European Union with the participation of the Defense Ministers, organized by the Polish Presidency in Warsaw.

He made it clear that “we must discuss with great seriousness which third countries will participate in this European venture. Because the third countries involved should subscribe to the principles and values ​​of the European Union. “

“It is not meant to participate in the European Defense Building, in any way, countries that threaten EU member states.

After all, Europe is an alliance and a common existence or coexistence of values, and we must always remember this, “said Mr. Dendias, according to RES EIA.

The main themes of the Council concerned the Rearm Europe Plan, the White Paper on European Defense and the situation in Ukraine.

“I think today’s meeting in Warsaw and especially the debate on Rearm Europe, as well as Ukraine’s issues, is extremely important,” Mr. Dendias explained.

“The European agenda (” Readiness 2030 “), which coincides with our” agenda 2030 “is something that is particularly concerned with Greece,” he added.

“It is very important to discuss common initiatives. Greece, along with Poland, have proposed the creation of a European protection dome, “he said.
