The constant will of the Regional Authority to strengthen athletes with disabilities, the Regional Governor underlined Nikos Chardalias to the President of the National Federation of Persons with Disabilities Konstantinos Siachosduring their meeting at the Attica Region Administration.
During the discussion, the possibilities of support from the district of the three Pan -Hellenic Championships – Swimming, Table Tennis and Boccia – organized by the Federation in Attica were examined.

Let’s go together, to offer our athletes and athletes with disabilities the opportunity to exercise in standard facilities, to give us moments of pride and emotion, “the Regional Governor noted, adding:” We admire your efforts, which give us your strength and optimism – to bend us. We are next to you – not in words, but with actions and with measurable results. Through a holistic design that promotes accessibility to sports and exercise areas in every corner of the basin. And in this endeavor we are proud, because we have put a great project in a definitive trajectory of implementation, which has been a dream of years for our athletes with disabilities: the construction of the Rafina Paralympic Athletic Center, a state -of -the -art, standard structure, which we fund through 65m euros. A commitment to our administration, as well as my personal bet, is at the end of 2028 to deliver to society a flagship project, with indoor and outdoor spaces, which can meet the training needs of disabled athletes and host a large number of Paralympic sports. We are with you, next to each of our disabled fellow citizens, to ensure what you are entitled to, what you deserve as fighters of everyday life, in a struggle you give with dignity and power – a fight from which you always come out winners. “
The President of the EEAEA Mr. Siachos thanked the Regional Governor for the support of the Federation, as expressed through the various actions of the Region and stressed that the administration of the Federation would come back with a specific proposal in order to form a framework for cooperation with the region.
Finally, the meeting was attended by the Special Secretary of the Region Elena Rapti, the Vice President of EOAMA Evangelos Kakosaios and the Technical Director of the Federation Spyros Stavros.
