Another goodwill move to Athens was proceeded by General Haphtar, indirectly sending a message to Europe, to overcome the diplomatic incident that was caused on Tuesday, describing the European Migration’s undesirable mission.

During the meeting, which took place in a very warm climate, M. Haphtar conveyed his estimation that Tuesday’s episode was a mere issue of protocol and insisted that this issue should not overshadow the effort to promote bilateral relations.
M. Haphtar welcomed the visit of the Foreign Minister and the invitation to him to visit Greece. It has shown particular interest in participating in Libya in English -speaking postgraduate programs in Greece, but also in cooperation in the field of Civil Protection and Crisis Management and Natural Disasters. M. Haphtar also called for the participation of Greek companies and Greek techniques in infrastructure projects that are underway in East Libya, as well as in the fields of health and agriculture.
The meeting also agreed to continue cooperation for a business mission, under the auspices of the Foreign Ministry, in Benghazi after August.
On Wednesday, the other son of General Haphtar, Al Sadik, had visited the President of the Greek Community, Mr. Mandalio, and handed him over to him by General Haphtar, in memory of his two children who lost their lives unjustly.
