The perpetrator opened fire on the lobby and on the 33rd floor of the huge building.

According to a report published in the digital edition of the New York Times, the perpetrator was found dead on the 33rd floor.
“If you are in the building, please stay where you are,” New York Mayor Erik Adams urged – former police chief and himself – via X.
