A few hours after the completion of the student parade for her anniversary October 28th and in the Syntagma, relatives of the victims were found Tempo but also ordinary citizens to light candles and honor the memory of the 57 people who lost their lives in the railway tragedy that still shocks the whole of Greece.
There are many citizens who are “present” for one more night in front of the Parliament and the monument of the Unknown Soldier at the point that has become an informal memorial for the victims of the Tempe tragedy today, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
There is a police presence in the area, but no tension has arisen with the gathered people who are around the perimeter of the spot where the names have been written in red paint, flowers are left and candles have been lit.
It is reminded that every night members of the “To the End” group make an appointment at the Syntagma, where they take care of the cleanliness of the area so that the names of the victims remain in the area.
Monday evening, 27.10.2025, Panos Rutsi, who had gone on a hunger strike to investigate the accident in Tempe, as one of the victims was his son Denny, visited the infamous memorial that has been created for the dead of the tragedy.
