New economical engines for the Citroen C3

Citroen will soon equip the C3 with the new PSA group engines. The motors of the PureTech family offer the small model extremely low consumption. These are three-cylinder units, with a capacity of 1.0 and 1.2 lt.

The 999 cc VTi 68 will replace the 60 PS 1.1. It delivers 68 PS at 6,000 rpm and gives Citroen’s supermini improved performance. Most importantly, it ensures an average consumption of 4.3 lt/100 km (versus 5.9 lt. of the 1.1), while with CO2 emissions of 99 g/km it is exempt from road tax.

The 75 PS 1.4 will be replaced by the VTi 82 (it will also be available with the DS3, as we informed you at the end of October).
