New diesel engine for the new Hyundai ix35

Three years after the presentation of the ix35, Hyundai is proceeding with an upgrade of its compact SUV. The changes include minor interventions in the external appearance but – mainly – additions to the range of engines.

The grilles on the air intake are now painted in the body color, while the lighting fixtures feature LED daytime running lights and Bi-Xenon headlights.

The 2-liter Theta gasoline engine is replaced by the new GDI of similar capacity, which produces 178 PS and also equips the i40 mid-size sedan.
