Four new cars were found on the crash platforms of EuroNCAP. These are the new BMW 3-door (in the video the test), the Hyundai i30, the Mazda CX-5 and the Peugeot 208 which were rated with the highest distinction of 5 stars. The German company’s new mid-size family model fared best of all, with 95% in the protection of adult passengers, 84% in that of children, 78% of pedestrians and 86% in safety systems. The new i30 scored 90% in adult and child protection, 67% in pedestrian protection and 86% in safety systems. Mazda’s new SUV scored 94% in adult occupant protection, 87% in child protection, 64% in pedestrian protection and 86% in safety systems. Finally, the corresponding percentages for the new 208 were 88%, 78%, 61% and 83%.
