Approved yesterday (24.6.2025), as part of the summit of NATOthe first strategy for the commercial space and the action plan for rapid adoption.
During their meeting in February 2025, NATO defense ministers approved NATO’s updated NATO action plan. The updated defense -production plan responds to the need for the allies to produce more and faster, in a rapidly evolving security environment.
The plan aims to improve the capacity of the allies to concentrate demand, to provide state -of -the -art capabilities and to accelerate the development of defense industrial capacity and production, including by providing long -term orders and clear demand in industry.
NATO’s first strategy for the commercial period, which was developed in the industry, will allow the alliance to integrate commercial solutions with greater flexibility and pace and to ensure constant access to peace, crisis and conflict.
The strategy aims to create more business opportunities and reduce bureaucracy in NATO supplies, simplifying how space companies work with the alliance, helping to increase commercial diversity and enhancing corporate relations throughout the Alliance.
