More fair distribution of cost than cuts for RES producers

Adjustment that will ensure the most fair redistribution of cost resulting from forced cuts production RES It was included in the RIS bill on biomedical and hydrogen.

The measure concerns the well -known issue, where RES units are forced by managers to stop production at noon, so that the supply does not exceed demand in the system.

The problem is that these cuts disproportionately affect the various green producers. For example, there are many who have installed tele-checking systems and receiving normally cuts, while others have not done so and remain unaffected at no cost.

The new arrangement provides for the implementation of a mechanism, which will distribute the cost equal to everyone. In fact, it will be applied retroactively since the beginning of 2025, as the cuts have been significantly intensified this year.

Referring to DEPEPEP, Demosthenes Vovontas, who is responsible for the smooth operation of the RES market and ensuring the viability of the projects yesterday. As he pointed out, the mechanism is an attempt to distribute the cost with transparency and balance. Thus, trust and investment perspective will be maintained in the green energy industry.

He clarified, however, that the mechanism would have to come into force quickly in order to clarify the investment landscape for RES.
