Moraitis against Tsipras for the scientific council: The world sends messages “don’t bring us the same ones, we loathe them” but Tsipras doesn’t listen

With a sharp post the radio producer and commentator Nikos Moraitis strongly criticizes the new Scientific Council of the Alexis Tsipras Institutefocusing on two specific individuals and speaking of choices that “disgust a democratic world”.

In the context of his criticism, he points out that society has often sent a message of renewal, which, in his opinion, Alexis Tsipras “doesn’t listen”.

Initially commenting positively on several of the persons who make up the Council, Moraitis states that “indeed I read many important names with excellent CVs”, but then points his arrows towards Zaharoula Tsirigotis and Themis Moumoulidis.

He recalls the incident with the SYRIZA conference, noting that Tsirigoti was the one “where, if you were a “first-class” congressman, you would say “Tsirigoti sends me” and walk through the garage door”while for Moumoulidis he emphasizes that “he was the “front man” who made him take the president-elect to the ethics committee asking for his removal.”

According to Moraitis, these two options are not just a political failure, but “acts against democracy”, which “they disgusted an entire democratic world” — a world, he says, that might consider giving Alexis Tsipras “one more chance” but is unwilling to tolerate figures from the past.

“It’s not antipathy, it’s contempt,” he says, personally addressing the former prime minister: “Do you think that if you put a bunch of remarkable scientists around me, I won’t see them? We don’t want a fillet of scientists with a little sauce from a coup, Alexis.”

The entire post by Nikos Moraitis:

“(This post does not please any army, I know that in advance. Likes are fine, dignity is better.)

I see the Scientific Council of the Tsipras Institute, announced today. And I do read a lot of big names with great resumes.

And I come to the following:

– Zaharoula Tsirigotis. Do you know who she is? The one where, if you were a “first-class” delegate at the conference in Bouzouzidiko, you said “Tsirigoti is sending me” and walked through the garage door, while the “second-class” delegates were trampling to the main entrance.

– Themis Moumoulidis. Do you know who he is? The “frontman” who made him take the president-elect to the ethics committee asking for his removal!

You know my opinion of the then president of SYRIZA and my deep apologies for supporting him – I will not come back. But these actions of Mrs. Tsirigotis and Mr. Moumoulidis were not actions against one person. They were acts against democracy.

Perhaps Tsipras or his advisors think that “take it easy, he has 2%, nobody cares”. It’s not like that.

The 2% were not disgusted by Tsirigotis – Moumoulidis type actions. An entire democratic world was disgusted as it saw the destruction of democratic principles before its eyes.

And if the Gerovasilides, Pappades, Famellos, Polakides etc. have decided on something and have already sent them to the unclaimed, this democratic world is thinking of giving Tsipras one more chance.

“Alexis, don’t bring us the same ones, we HATE them.” Doesn’t this person read the hundreds of messages on social media?

It’s not dislike, it’s shame, does he realize that?

They are the people who humiliated a party, trashed the official opposition, killed themselves morally and politically just to take revenge on an adventurer who, if left alone for a semester, would have set himself on fire! Just like he did right after in his own party.

Which Chirigoti, then? Who Moumoulidis, Alexis?

Do you think that if you put a bunch of remarkable scientists around I won’t see them? We don’t want a fillet of scientists with a little coup sauce, Alexis.

The people who would like to meet you don’t want any of them. He screams it at you in every way: When we say nobody, we mean nobody.

From 2019 until today, this people is shouting at you something that you don’t hear.”
