Mitsotakis video on TikTok about tax cuts: Young people are not supported by big words but by actions

About the tax breaks coming from January that will increase the income of young people, he spoke in a video uploaded to TikTok by Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

After first quoting a series of answers given by young people when they were asked if they had been informed about the measures announced at the TIF, then – and after most of them showed that they did not know enough – he referred to the government decisions that concern them, giving specific examples.

“Well, probably the young people we talked to were not well informed about what concerns them. On Friday, the TIF measures were voted in the Parliament. Let’s see them together, simple and understandable. Those concerning young people. One of the most important measures we voted for is zero-sum. I repeat the nullification of income tax for young people up to 25 years of age with an income of up to 20,000 euros. Let me give two examples to make it even clearer. A young person with a net income of 980 euros per month will now have zero tax. I repeat, zero. This means that from January his net salary will increase by 91 euros and from 980 euros it will go to 1,071 net. That is, on an annual basis, his benefit will be almost 1,300 euros. More than an extra salary a year” said Mr. Mitsotakis.

“Accordingly, a young 25-year-old freelancer with an annual net income of 13,000 euros and he will have zero tax, pocketing an extra 2,000 euros per year. Young people are not supported by big words but by actions. Why we want you protagonists in a changing Greece” added the prime minister in his video.
