Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about the prospects of the Greek economy, the government’s reform plans and the achievement of the goals in a complex geopolitical environment at a meeting in New York with investors, representatives of capital management companies and insurance companies.
The prime minister underlined the importance of fiscal responsibility and reforms that enable the government to reduce taxes and return dividend to citizens.
The prime minister made particular reference to the government’s energy policy, the infrastructure it develops and its role as an energy hub, as well as energy security provider in the region.
He also referred to the position of Greece and Europe in a fluid and uncertain international environment, underlining the need to strengthen European defense and EU competitiveness.
He also made special reference to Greece’s potential to be an important investment destination in Health Technologies and AI sectors, as a particularly active ecosystem of Greek startups has already been developed in these areas.
