With video in Tiktok the Sunday Mitsotakis refers to the new increase in minimum wage.
As he pointed out, the minimum wage is now shaped to 880 euros grosswhich corresponds to € 743 net monthly. The prime minister recalled that in 2019 the minimum wage amounted to 650 euros, noting that today’s growth translates to about 3,000 euros net more year. “That is, five additional salaries per year,” he said.
This is the fifth consecutive increase in the minimum wage over the past five years, which – according to the prime minister – directly affects over 1.6 million workers. As he noted, with the new adjustment, Greece is now ranked 11th among European countries in terms of minimum wage.
I know the precision is pushing, but every step counts, Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed and reiterated the government’s commitment to further increase the minimum wage to EUR 950 by 2027.
