“The strongest security guarantee that can be given is to strengthen Ukraine’s own armed forces,” the prime minister stressed
The need for a ceasefire in Ukraine as soon as possible by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in his statements to reporters shortly after the end of today’s International Summit held in Paris on Ukrainian.

The prime minister also referred to discussions that will take place next week in Parliament regarding the country’s new equipment program, noting that the main objective is “to integrate this debate in the context of the more general major geopolitical changes that are taking place today”. He added that in the context of these discussions “we will present the new payroll and the new grade of the Armed Forces”, while pointing out that what can be said at this stage is that in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance it has been decided to have significant savings increases in the ministry. He emphasized that “it is not only enough to buy the most modern weapons, but we must be sure that the Armed Forces executives are paid properly so that we can attract new children to their ranks.”
