‘Not to deal with EU cooperation with third countries as Business as Usual’
In the debate on European Security and Defense, and in particular about the EU’s cooperation with third countries, the prime minister made special reference to third countries that are not in line with the EU’s common foreign security policy and policy.
THE Kyriakos Mitsotakis He stressed that Europe must take into account its strategic interests and not treat these collaborations as a business as usual, or simply as a business transaction.
Concerning defense funding, the prime minister described the activation of the national escape clause as useful, but added that it is not enough for a European financial tool to promote common interest programs, the EIA reported.
He also referred to Greece’s 12 -year equipment plan and stressed that Europe should support the European Defense Companies.
