Mitsotaki meetings in New York: Investments by UAE, F-35 with Lockheed Martin and Energy Collaboration with ExxonMobil

Significant contacts had on Thursday night (25/9) in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly, the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The Greek Prime Minister met with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates, Dr Sultan Al Jaber, its president Lockheed MartinMichael Williamson, and its Vice President ExxonMobilJohn Ardill.

During the meeting with Dr Sultan Al Jaber, the Emirate side was confirmed by the investment that has been implemented in Greece to date. At the same time, the UAE’s intention was to further enhance their presence, highlighting investments in “regional champions” in their sectors.

Lockheed Martin President Michael Williamson discussed the Greece -US defense cooperation. The smooth progress of the upgrade program of the F-16 as well as the evolution of the integration program of F-35 in the Air Force.

Finally, at the meeting with ExxonMobil Vice President John Ardill, the focus was found Energy Cooperation in the Eastern Mediterraneanwith particular emphasis on drilling and prospects for the utilization of natural gas deposits.
