Mitsotaki-Hertzog telephone communication: Immediate ceasefire, Israeli president asked the Prime Minister

Telephone conversation with the president of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzoghad the prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakiswith dramatic developments in the Middle East dominating their agenda.

During the communication, the Greek prime minister expressed a strong concern for Athens about the extremely serious humanitarian condition that has been shaped in the Gaza Strip.

In this context, Mr. Mitsotakis emphasized the urgent need for immediate ceasefirewhich will allow seamless flow of humanitarian aid to the civilian population tested.

At the same time, he reiterated Greece’s firm position on the need direct and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas. As noted, this is the same stable position he had expressed in his recent communication with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
