With the perspective particularly high temperatures in the summerthe Ministry of Environment and Energy is intensifying efforts for Greece’s smooth electricity. At a recent coordination meeting, at the initiative of Minister Stavros Papastavrou and Deputy Minister Nikos Tsafos, the preparedness of the system and the relevant bodies were evaluated.
The meeting was attended by leading executives from the energy field, including the Secretary General of Energy and Mineral Raw Materials, Aristotle Aivaliotis, Vice President of RAAE’s Energy Branch, Dimitris Fourlaris, Managing Director of DEDDI, and Tastios Managing Director
As the ministry points out, the Working Group has been operating systematically since April, ensuring the best coordination of actions to avoid electricity problems in emergencies. At the heart of the debate was the updating of the road charter of preventive actions, with an emphasis on safety and supply of supply that is critical to shielding the energy system against possible risks.
